Playing with Transfers: PART ONE

PLAYING WITH IMAGE TRANSFERS, PART ONE : COURTNEY CERRUTI
Saturday, October 25: 9-Noon

Learn successful image transfer techniques for paper arts, collage, fiber arts, and more. I’ll cover the best methods for combining, transferring, and layering found and created imagery and text from my book Playing With Image Transfers, as well as techniques for creating transparent layers. Gain experience in different approaches that use inexpensive materials. This is a great class for beginners and seasoned artists who would like to add more dimension and depth to their work. Once you learn the ins and outs of image transfers you can make art in as little as 5 mins at home in your own studio no matter your practice!

Materials: (please bring the following supplies to class)
Color and b&w photocopies (not ink jet prints) of imagery you would like to work with. Images should be on the small side, 4″ x 4″ or so

Scissors
A few paint brushes
Bone Folder (optional)
Sketchbook
Canvas or wooden panel if wanting to create a mixed media piece

(Courtney will have a ton of imagery for you to work with as well as paper and fabric as well.)
